Phi Theta Kappans Volunteer for the Rose Lehrman Arts Center

On Tuesday, January 24, 2012 the Rose Lehrman Arts Center will present Macbeth.

“Double, Double Toil & Trouble...”

“Aquila breathes fresh life and fire into this wickedly troubled work!

Macbeth...the chaotic world of Shakespeare, where nothing is as it seems and men combat their own madness and fates.” (Live at Rose Lehrman)

Three volunteers are needed from 6:30 pm until approx. 10 pm to check coats and help at the concession stand. This is a great way to earn service points for the new semester! As usual, volunteers are able to watch the performance free of charge.

Please contact Jeanne and Christi at anoarts@gmail.com if you are available to volunteer for Macbeth at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center.

Angelina Ballerina at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center January 28th

Hello PTK members,
There is a special volunteer opportunity for PTK members that just opened at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center. We need members to help on Saturday, January 28, 2012 for the children's musical Angelina Ballerina.

Volunteers are needed for each shift to check coats, operate the concession stand, or take tickets. Volunteers will also have the choice of participating in the book and cookie party by serving cookies and handing out books at tables set up for the party. Shifts available:

  • 1st shift: 9:00 am–1:00 pm—1 person still needed
  • 2nd shift: 12:30 pm–4:30 pm—4 people still needed

Please indicate the shift for which you would like to volunteer.

These children's performances are always a lot of fun. This is a great way to earn service points while participating in the fun! Volunteers who have children or grandchildren find this a special occasion for buying tickets for family members and inviting them to come to the performance. As always, all volunteers have the opportunity to watch the show free of charge.

Please contact Jeanne Georges and Christi Barnes at anoarts@gmail.com if you are available to volunteer for Angelina Ballerina at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center.

Wednesday, February 15th — Ragmala Dance – Sacred Earth at Rose Lehrman Arts Theater, HACC, Harrisburg Campus

“While Sacred Earth showcases [Ragamala's] total commitment to the Indian dance form Bharatanatyam, it's also a fine example of what magic can happen when movement, visual artistry and music exist in close harmony with one another on stage.” (Minneapolis Star Tribune)
